A commitment to giving every child an opportunity to succeed.

Established in 1970, El Concilio Early Childhood Development Centers provide comprehensive, early education for each stage of development with research-based curriculum for infants, toddlers, and preschool aged children, through a nurturing environment that promotes proper physical, mental, cognitive, social, and emotional development.

Our Teachers change the world one child at a time.

We help create a path for your child to enter elementary school and achieve future academic success. Your child will benefit from coordinated parent involvement and positive teacher-child relationships.

Whether your child is an infant taking his or her first steps, a toddler building social skills, or a preschooler making friends, we are honored to be a part of this journey with you.  Our Early Childhood Development Center professionals guide each child through learning experiences that promote independence, resiliency, and self-confidence. Our family-focus approach means children are school-ready and families are able to support their continued learning.

A safe, nurturing, and healthy environment for learning.

Our highly qualified teachers are early learning professionals who are experienced in early care, education and child development, promoting emotional, physical, and intellectual growth in a fun, engaging environment.

Licensed by the State of California, all classroom teachers hold a Child Development permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. Center staff represent diverse cultures and ethnicities, and most are bilingual, supporting English-language development.

Curriculum to meet the needs of each child at all stages of development.

The first five years of a child’s life are a time of tremendous physical, emotional, and cognitive growth, while developing social skills and independence. The developmental support children receive during these early years greatly affects future academic achievements and the level of success they achieve later in life.

We understand that play is the foundation of childhood learning. Play is how children start to understand their world and develop socialization skills, while learning how to problem-solve and strengthen language skills. Our Centers utilize the “Creative Curriculum”.

Creative Curriculum is a research-based curriculum that features exploration and discovery as a way of learning. It supports teachers at all levels of experience in planning and implementing a high-quality, developmentally appropriate program.

The curriculum’s planned activities and strategies, along with strong teacher-child interactions, enable children to develop confidence, creativity, and critical thinking skills.

A day in the life of your child at our center.

From your child’s very first day, his or her progress towards kindergarten readiness is tracked through developmental screenings and assessments that are shared with you at your parent- teacher conferences. Every day your child is in school prepares him or her for kindergarten and beyond. Supporting your child is our purpose; and, we encourage families to connect with us by fostering positive relationships.

Infant, Toddler, and Two’s Programs.

Our Infant, Toddler and Two’s curriculums meet your child’s basic needs by fostering secure attachments while supporting cognition and brain development through responsive caregiving. The classes focus on characteristics that make each child unique, such as temperament, experiences, dual-language learning and aptitude. We work with you as our partner.

Preschool Program.

Our Preschool curriculum focuses on the learning areas of literacy, mathematics, science, social studies, the arts, and technology, providing each child with a program based on 38 development and learning objectives that build on how and what children learn.
